Compromise Agreements

A Compromise Agreement is a legally binding agreement between an employer and employee which is usually entered into either shortly before or after termination of an employee’s employment.

Essentially, a Compromise Agreement allows for a clean break in the employment relationship where the employee agrees to waive the right to bring certain claims in return for an agreed sum in compensation.

The employment experts at Andersons Solicitors have significant experience in advising on Compromise Agreements ranging from routine settlements to complex high value Agreements, and are able to assist in negotiating Agreements for all employees at all levels of seniority.

It is a legal requirement that an employee receives independent legal advice before entering into a Compromise Agreement. For this reasons, employers will usually contribute towards your legal fees.
