City Law firm’s vote of confidence in Leicester

East Midlands law firm Andersons Solicitors has opened a new office in Leicester.

The firm, which is currently based in Nottingham, says the move is a vote of confidence in Leicester which it sees as a growing market.

The new office is in Museum Square in the city centre and is headed up by Leicester lawyer Faizal Essat.

Faizal formerly Headed up the Litigation Team at the Leicestershire County Council before becoming a Partner at Andersons Solicitors.

He was brought up in the St Peters area and is well known in the city for his charity work, providing legal advice to local community groups. In 2002, he was a founder member of the Faith Advisory Group involving the Diocese of Leicester, Leicester Council of Faiths and the Leicester City Council.

He has also acted as a legal consultant to various mosques in relation to planning applications, governance, drafting of constitutions and the various legal aspects of religious education.

Faizal’s new role puts him in charge of Andersons Solicitors operation in Leicester, covering services for both businesses and individuals. He said: “Andersons Solicitors are one of the top firms in Nottingham and so it’s an exciting challenge to represent them in my home town”.

Andersons Solicitors Managing Partner Andrew Kelly said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us”.

“We already have several clients in Leicester, which we regard as an important legal market. With our new office and with Faizal representing us, we’re confident we can make further inroads into that market”.
