Andersons Lawyer Attends Queen's Garden Party

Faizal Essat, dispute resolution lawyer at Andersons Solicitors Leicester office, enjoyed afternoon tea at the Queen's Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 29 May.

Faizal was invited to the Garden Party as the guest of the National President of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, Susan Silver.

Approximately 8,000 guests attend the Royal Garden Party.  Each year, the Queen hosts garden parties at both Buckingham Palace and also at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

CILEX became incorporated by Royal Charter in January 2012 and is now known as 'The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives'.  The organisation, which has been operating since 1892, represents 22,000 lawyers. CILEx has branches throughout England and Wales and also has many members overseas.

Faizal Essat has received national awards for his pro-bono and voluntary work in the Leicestershire community and works with many organisations in the voluntary sector across the East Midlands.

Faizal acted as a non- executive board member for the regulatory arm of CILEx, ILEX Professional Standards.
He also acted as Chairman of the Leicestershire branch of CILEx between 1998 and 2000.

CILEx National President, Susan Silver, said: "We are delighted that Faizal could join us as our guest at the Garden Party. He has done a lot to promote the fantastic work of CILEx nationally as a board member. This was our way of rewarding him for all his hard work."

Faizal Essat commented: "it was a real honour to be invited as the guest of CILEx at the garden party in advance of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. CILEx does a lot of work to ensure that people from diverse backgrounds can pursue rewarding legal careers. It was also a real pleasure to share afternoon tea with other guests who have volunteered to help their local communities."
