Representation
at Industrial Tribunal - Employee
Originally, Industrial Tribunals were setup to allow swift and straightforward resolution of employment
disputes.
Unfortunately that is certainly not the position now and whilst anybody can appear unrepresented, or represented by a friend or family member, it is highly desirable at least
for employers - to have skilled representation. This is becoming more necessary not only because of the burdens placed on employers (as respondents) but also so that
directions are properly complied with, questionnaires properly dealt with etc...etc..
Etc..
It should be borne in mind that a perfectly proper defence can be struck out or may not
even be heard for purely procedural failings.
The paperwork that comes for Industrial Tribunals should be dealt with very conscientiously and if you are
unfamiliar with what happens in Tribunals, you should ensure that you get appropriate advice. |
