Non Payment of Wages - Employee
In many cases it is unlawful for an employer to withhold payment of wages or make deductions from wages without the workers written consent. This protection applies to almost all payments other than advances
of wages, expenses, pensions, redundancy payments, and pay in lieu of notice.
What deductions are permitted?

Deductions authorised or required by statute i.e. the deduction of income tax and national insurance contributions or the
collection of certain payments under a court order.
